Your First Visit
After a consultation with Dr. Khokhar, you’ll receive a complete “dental physical” so we can put together a detailed diagnostic record of the current condition of your mouth and teeth.
Your examination will include:
- Oral cancer screening
- Functional diagnosis of the TMJ -- your jaw joint
- Record of any existing condition of each tooth
- Gum-depth measurements around each tooth to detect gum disease
- X-rays to show the root of the tooth under the gum as well as bone and surfaces between the teeth that cannot be seen by the eye
- Upper and lower molds of your teeth to study your bite
- Digital photographs of your face, profile and teeth
During your second appointment, Dr. Khokhar will review his findings and his treatment recommendations. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions to understand any problems you might have and how the proposed treatment would correct them.
