ACU-CAM CONCEPT III: This micro-mini camera takes very sharp photos of the teeth and gums, which is projected on a TV screen, allowing patients to view exactly what the dentist sees - decay, cavities or receding gum lines. With this knowledge, patients and our dentists together can make educated decisions regarding their dental work.
The AccuCam® Concept III ™ intra-oral camera system combines an extremely high-quality image with unprecedented ease of use. It features a unique direct optical system and a single handpiece with intra-oral, extra-oral and macro settings.

Computerized Digital Imaging
INTRA-ORAL VIDEO IMAGING: With the aid of specialized imaging software and our library of smiles, we can manipulate the digital images to create a new smile showing the changes you desire. This will give you a preview of the of your new smile. Computer imaging gives us a good idea as to what we can accomplish for you.
Computerized imaging also helps us formulate the plan to follow to reach the results that our patients want. Computerized imaging can also provide us with the information about the limitations of certain procedures. This helps us look into other ways to give you the smile that you want. In short, we want to make sure that we provide you with what you want, without wasting your time and investment.

Digital Radiographs
DIGITAL X-RAYS: Our office uses digital dental X-Rays to provide even better dental care and more accurate diagnoses. The process of digitally capturing an image is much faster, safer and more comfortable for the patient.
How Digital Dental X-Rays Work
We place a small sensor in your mouth. The sensor is connected to a computer by a thin wire. Next, an X-ray beam is sent through your teeth and into the sensor, which records the image of your teeth and sends it to the computer. The sensor can then be repositioned to radiograph other sections of your teeth.
Why Digital Dental X-Rays are Better
The digital dental X-ray system is more sensitive than dental X-ray film systems, so your exposure to X-rays is cut by as much as 90 percent. The large and color-enhanced images let you see what your dentist sees, so it's easier for you to understand how your dentist will treat your teeth. This eliminates the need for photo chemicals, film, processing or film storage. Used photo chemicals and film are not polluting the environment. Your dental checkups take less time, and it's fun to watch this system work! Most patients are amazed.

Laser Cavity Detection
LASER DETECTION SYSTEM CATCHES CARIES EARLY: You may have heard about DIAGNODENT, a new high tech laser system that we use to detect tooth decay in its earliest stages. Studies show that as much as 50% of decay may go undetected by traditional dental probing and other diagnostic methods. The new DIAGNODENT aids in diagnosing hidden decay more accurately and confidently. While the attention given to DIAGNODENT is fairly recent, we are proud to say that we have been using this device for quite some time now.
Most decay occurs in the complex anatomy of the tooth surfaces, making diagnosis with traditional methods difficult, because the outer tooth surface often appears to be intact. The DIAGNODENT uses laser light of a defined wavelength to help detect and quantify demineralized (decayed) tooth substances without x-ray exposure - the higher the amount of fluorescence detected by the machine, the greater the degree of decay within the tooth. Because the decay is detected earlier, the number of dental procedures - and hence, the cost - can often be reduced. It's a great way to keep little problems from becoming a big problem.
