Dental Implants

Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good genral oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury or some other reason. Dental implants will eliminate any pain or discomfort caused by your removable full or partial denture. Since dentures sit on top of the jawbone and gums, continuous shrinking of the jawbone alters the fit of the denture resulting in slipping or rocking of the dentures. Dental implants are a great way to fix this problem.

Implant Bridge

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a Periodontist places into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. If you have lost one or more teeth, dental implants may be a good option for you. Dental implants are actually more tooth saving than placing a traditional bridge, since they don’t need to rely on support from there neighboring teeth.

Dental implants look and feel as natural as your own teeth. You may possibly hide your smile because you are missing teeth or may be suffering from loose dentures and are having a difficult time chewing. Dental implants can solve all of those problems for you.

Dental implants can be used for replacing a single tooth, several teeth and also stabilizing loose dentures.

Ridge Augmentation

Sometimes when you lose one or more teeth, you can get an indention in your gums and jawbone where the tooth used to be. This happens because the jawbone recedes when it no longer is holding a tooth in place.
Not only is this indentation unnatural looking, it also causes the replacement tooth to look too long compared to the adjacent teeth.

We can fill in this "defect" with a procedure called ridge augmentation, recapturing the natural contour of your gums and jaw. A new tooth can then be created that is natural looking, easy-to-clean and beautiful.

Bone Grafts

Bone grafts are necessary when a lot of bone loss is found; this often leaves a condition in which there is not enough bone to place a dental implant. In these situations, most patients are not candidates for dental implants until missing bone is restored.

Sinus Lifts

Sinus lifts are a key to implant success. The upper back jaw has traditionally been one of the most difficult areas to successfully place dental implants due to insufficient bone quantity and quality and the close proximity to the sinus. Sinus augmentation can help correct this problem by raising the sinus floor and developing bone for the placement of dental implants.
